GRAMMY-nominated multi-instrumentalist and composer Gladney returns to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro on Thursday, July 30 for Gladney Plays the Saxophone, a two-set tribute to the teachers and artists who shaped his sound. A sixth-generation native of the Lower 9th Ward performing professionally since age 12, Gladney traces his musical lineage across tenor and alto saxophone opening with his teacher, avant-garde pioneer Kidd Jordan, and closing with the mentorship of Donald Harrison.
The show features Max Moran on bass, Oscar Rossignoli on piano, and Mason Tanner, 16, in his band premiere.
